Journey to Dentistry

Dr. Christian Becker was born in Apopka, Florida and moved to Sarasota when he was 4 years old. A graduate of Riverview High School, Dr. Becker was a bagpiper and eventually, Pipe Major in the Kiltie Band. Dr. Becker actively competed when he was a high school and college student in highland games across America, winning numerous awards in individual and pipe band competitions. His studies led him to Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology. While awaiting admission to dental school, Dr. Becker returned to Sarasota and spent the next twelve months volunteering his time at the Senior Friendship Center of Sarasota Dental Clinic as a dental assistant. A busy year followed as Dr. Becker got married to his high school sweetheart Nicole, moved to Arizona, and began dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. Upon graduation, Dr. Becker moved to North Port, Florida and began practicing dentistry in the community where he grew up.

Continuing Education & Professional Memberships

Dr. Becker is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Sarasota County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Florida Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Becker stays current with new advances in technology and the delivery of dental care. He is a certified Invisalign provider, certified in the use of the Sirona SIROlaser Advance diode laser, and he completed the Aesthetic Continuum, a course focusing on completing esthetic smile makeovers. Dr. Becker is currently pursuing his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and is also learning interceptive orthodontic techniques to facilitate proper oral growth and airway development in children. Dr. Becker is also certified to place dental implants and is continuously learning the latest techniques to provide great replacement options for his patients.

Personal Life & Hobbies

Dr. Becker has previously participated in dental mission trips to both Nicaragua and Ecuador. Additionally, Dr. Becker has volunteered in Project Christmas Smile and partners with Toys for Tots and our local food bank during the holidays.

As a father of four children, time with family is important to Dr. Becker. He enjoys visiting Walt Disney World, spending time with nearby family in Sarasota, reading, going to the beach, and being actively involved in Awaken Church. Dr. Becker and his wife recently finished building a home in North Port, just minutes away from the office, so he is looking forward to serving his community for many years to come.

Dr. Suehr is an Invisalign Certified Provider and has received training in Occlusal Equilibration & Harmony and Conservative Dentistry.

Academy of Laser Dentistry trained and certified - engaging in a specialized hands-on course becoming proficient in standard and advanced laser techniques and concepts along with passing the rigorous ALD dental laser standard level examination.

Nominated for and completed an extensive, multi-day Aesthetic Continuum, specializing in full mouth rehabilitation and veneers. This course teaches advanced cosmetic techniques and concepts, case selection, smile designs, diagnostics, and photography.

She has completed and is certified in a comprehensive, multi-day hands on Botox and filler course, with a focus on cosmetic treatments including, but not limited to relaxation of forehead wrinkles, frown lines, bunny lines, and crow’s feet along with filler placement to achieve lip flip, volumized lips, and reduce the appearance of aging and volume Loss.

Dr. Suehr is currently working toward achieving her FAGD (fellowship) - award with the Academy of General Dentistry, which includes taking 500 additional hours of continuing education credit along with passing an intense comprehensive examination.

Life & Hobbies

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Suehr enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially partaking in various toddler adventures with her son. She moved to the Florida area with her husband in 2017 and has loved all that it has to offer.
